If you are coming to the Gold Coast for holidays with your teenage kids, you may think the only thing for them to do is visit the Theme Parks. But there is so much more that will keep them entertained for hours and allow you to relax and enjoy your holiday too. So here are our top things to do on the Gold Coast for Teens. And nearly all of them have been tried and tested by our own kids over the years.
STAND UP PADDLE BOARDING
With so many gorgeous waterways all around the Gold Coast, Stand Up Paddle Boarding is the ideal way to take to the water. A one hour lesson will set you back about $55.00 or there are lots of places where you can hire them from as little as $20 per hour. This would be a great way for your teen to cruise around and master this new skill.

SURFING LESSONS
If your teens love the water, then maybe they would like to learn to surf? The Gold Coast is renowned for its beautiful beaches so what better spot to test out your surf skills? There are several surf schools up and down the Coast that offer group lessons and private lessons.

INDOOR TRAMPOLINING
Indoor Trampolining has to be one of the best ways to let your teens burn off some excess energy. This popular pastime has seen large indoor trampolining parks open up all over the place. On the Gold Coast head to Bounce Inc at Burleigh Waters.

TEN PIN BOWLING
Everyone loves ten pin bowling right? Your teens will have a blast in the nightclub atmosphere of Strike Bowling in Surfers Paradise. With large screens that play the latest video clips and great food your teens will fall in love with ten pin bowling all over again. Plus they have mini-golf and also an Escape Room.
GO KARTING
Get the adrenalin racing with a day of Go-Karting. Bring out your teens competitive edge and challenge them to race against you or each other. There are a number of both indoor and outdoor tracks around the Gold Coast. Located at Pimpama on the northern end of the Gold Coast is the Le Mans track. With new karts and track design plus family karts available they will be ready to race!
AQUA SPLASH
The Gold Coast Aqua Park is located in the Broadwater just across the road from Australia Fair Shopping Centre and is open seasonally. It is the jumping castle of your childhood bulked up and on water! They can splash, jump and slide and I guarantee they will leave the water completely exhausted. It is patrolled by qualified life guards and each session is colour coded so you always get the full time you pay for. Session rates start at $20 for 50 minutes.

TREE TOP CHALLENGE
The Tree Top Challenge has two brilliant locations on the Gold Coast. One is inside Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary and the other is at Thunderbird Park, Mount Tamborine. The tree top challenge is a series of flying foxes and suspension bridges high amongst the tree tops. This is a self-paced activity so you can take your time or go as quick as you like. If you are a real dare-devil, then why not try out the Canyon Zipline Guided Tour. Seven zip lines in total where you can reach speeds of up to 70kph. (Available at Thunderbird Park only)
HORSE RIDING
Whilst at Thunderbird Park why not go for a leisurely trail ride in this very picturesque setting. Prices start at $50 for a half hour ride. The rides are suitable for beginners through to experienced riders. Individual rides or longer rides can also be arranged in advance.

GAMEOVER
If the normally perfect Gold Coast weather happens to become a little less perfect than it should be then why not head for some indoor fun at Game Over. Located at Helensvale just across the road from Movie World, Game Over has an awesome indoor go kart track, rock climbing walls and laser tag. There is also a coffee shop and a viewing area where Mum and Dad can relax for a while.
INFINITY
Infinity is one of those attractions that is hard to describe. It’s part maze, part light show with stunning illusion- based special effects. The illusions in Infinity will definitely leave your teen wondering how the hell did they do that! Entry prices start at $27.90.
Of course there is lots more to do and see for the whole family on the Gold Coast. But no matter what your teens love doing, they will definitely have a lot of fun on your next family holiday.
