You may think that Change is Good is an odd title for a blog post. But I really wanted to get your attention. So I could let you all know that Camper Trailer Travels is getting a new name. We will soon be known as –
All Around Oz
Our Facebook page has already changed it’s name and I have added the new domain name to the blog as well.
When I first started writing Camper Trailer Travels a little over 3 years ago I didn’t think much further ahead than wanting to let friends and family know what we were up to. I thought I might be able to pass on some great camping tips to other people. As time has gone by, I have realised how much I have enjoyed sharing our adventures with you. I was also completely surprised at how many people enjoy reading about our travels.
One thing I didn’t give any thought to at the time of creating Camper Trailer Travels was our future. Sure our camper trailer suits us perfectly now. But our long term plan is to trade up to a caravan and work our way around Australia for a few years. I wanted to be able to write about those adventures along the way. Hopefully inspiring others to do the same thing.
So in order to broaden what I write about and hopefully the general appeal, we decided on a name change.
Yes we will still love camping and I think I will always have a soft spot for our camper trailer. We have already been to so many wonderful places and had such awesome experiences with it and will continue to do so for at least another 3 years until our kids have finished high school. Then who knows what lays before us.
SOMETHING FOR ALL TRAVELLERS
But the bottom line is this – If you love travelling and exploring Australia, whether you have a swag, a tent, a camper trailer, a motor home, a caravan or prefer to stay in resorts or motels – everyone will be welcome here and hopefully everyone will find something to whet their travel appetites.
In the meantime I will be working on branching out into freelance writing and improving my photography skills. Brenden is working on acquiring his Controllers Certificate so as he can legally operate our RPA. This is an expensive process and one that isn’t going to happen overnight. In the meantime he is perfecting his flying skills and enjoying this awesome hobby.
